It's fascinating to me how Live is becoming a sort of standard. Live is both much maligned for being the the default in uninspired live performance but it's also becoming a sort of building block (with external controllers and some code) for cutting edge individual systems.

Nowadays there is not a really alternative for the clip matrix. Only resolume avenue, vdmx or patching in maxmsp/pd could be similar.
Simple concept + stability + timestretching = Live performance.
But I'm looking now to other direction:
