Marcaly's Phonoguitar springs to mind.
I think the example video does not really show anything new but what would be interesting is how it might change the ensemble dynamic i.e., the ability to be mobile, to move around the stage and have more physical interaction with the other performs, as opposed to standing off to one side behind a table.
